Originally a one-room schoolhouse, the Little Orleans Lodge has been serving the hiker-biker community and outdoor enthusiast since 2001. Nestled between Green Ridge State Forest and the C & O Canal National Historical Park (Mile Marker 141 on the towpath at Fifteen Mile Campground and just five miles west of the Western Maryland Rail Trail.) Little Orleans is the only stopover between Hancock and Cumberland, Maryland. Little Orleans Lodge is located only 1/2 mile from the C & O Canal Towpath and offers a variety of rooms to accommodate all visitors, from the solo hiker-biker to any large group.

Guest can hike-bike the canal towpath-rail trail or canoe-kayak the nearby Potomac River. The bird-watching in Little Orleans features migrant waterfowl, warblers and a few rare species.
The western terminus of the C & O Canal Trail is located in Cumberland, Maryland (43 miles west) where the towpath connects with the Great Allegheny Passage to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Reservations are strongly encourage during the weekends. Reservations can be guaranteed with a one night's deposit on a credit card. Groups of four or more must have bill paid in full 30 days in advance of reservation date. Hiker-Bikers walk-ins are always welcome.
All cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the 4 pm check-in arrival date to receive a full refund.
During special events and Apples East Coast Motorcycle Rally there is a minimum three (3) night stay and all reservations must be paid in full. Sorry no cancellations or refunds for reservations during special events or Motorcycle Rally. No exceptions. Discover, Visa, MasterCard, checks or cash accepted. Little Orleans Lodge reserves the right to process the credit card provided for the deposit amount.
From the C & O Canal Trail, at Fifteen Mile Creek Campground mile post 141, take the NPS access road over the canal turn right and then left onto High Germany Road north through the 1904 concrete railroad underpass towards Bill's Place. Go another .2 miles to the two-story white house on the left where High Germany Road T's into Orleans road. Turn left onto Orleans Road, go down the hill, past the campgrounds and cross the 1938 low water bridge over Fifteen Mile Creek. At the T of Orleans Road and Oldtown-Orleans Road/Appel Road (you can see St. Patrick's Catholic Church on the hill), turn left and go .2 miles. Little Orleans Lodge will be on your left. From Interstate 68, take Exit 68 and go south 6 miles on Orleans Road, cross the Fifteen Mile Creek bridge and turn left on to Appel Road and go .2 miles to the lodge.
